West Ham 0 Spurs 2: The Return Of The King

By: Sam | December 9th, 2008

That’s a fairly good way to dispose of our London rivals West Ham, aka nazi filth. Our man Ledley King has finally got that goal that’s eluded him for three years, Jamie O’Hara scores a beauty and just keeps gaining confidence, Gomes is alert as ever, we’ve got three brand new points, securely out of relegation territory.

But ah, the perils of pirated webstreams. I got the first twenty minutes of the match without a problem, after which every option cut on me and I had to resort to the Spurs match tracker. Which is a damn shame, since as I’m to understand it this was a fantastic match to watch.

Regardless, Harry made three changes from the lineup that beat Watford in midweek, bringing in King and Bentley, but most importantly Luka Modric, back from his injury after missing four matches, was supporting Pav up front. Early on, Bentley looked extremely keen, he was making some very determined runs up the pitch, as was Jenas who is finding himself again after a dismal start to the season. The best chance of the first half fell to Modric, however, who was set up beautifully after just a minute of play and had all the net to shoot at, but aimed straight at Robert Green instead.

Sadly, as that’s pretty much all I’m able to tell you, here is the official match report.

With the win, we’re now 15th (only???), but that’s only a win away from ninth. The season is far from over, boys and girls. Next up is Manchester United at the Lane. Do I smell a Bulgarian?

If you can’t stream video (because you’re at work) the BBC London has a feed that’s available to those in the States (though only for the games). This website has a list of all of the audio options for basically all leagues. Here is the Premier League, scroll down for Spurs:

Good game, well good enough. Didn’t play particularely well but good enough to dispose of the spammers. If we win at the Lane I’ll be the happiest guy ever. Don’t see it happening but who knows these days, it’s good times to be a Yid!
