Van Persie To Spurs?

I have felt compelled to publish this article as I’m sure I share with a lot of people the frustration of not being able to leave a message on the other article claiming a move for Robin Van Persie from Arsenal to Tottenham could be imminent. I was tempted to entitle this piece ‘Bollocks’, as I have never heard such a load of old cobblers in all my life. Even the ‘Tevez to Spurs’ guff that some bought into in January wasn’t quite as hair brained as this.
Van Persie does not have to join us to make me happy, he simply has to leave Arsenal and piss them off mightily in the process. It galls me having to admit to the brilliance of one of their players while having to concede that Manchester City have a (crappy Euro 2012 aside) truly world class player is nothing new. It will also give Arsenal fans a break from their Boas baiting while they contemplate life without the man who was the only thing keeping them ticking over for large periods of last season.
AVB seems to have split the Spurs camp. Personally I think it’s one of the best, achievable signings we could have made as manager. I saw a comment the other day from some irate fan saying we should have signed Pep Guardiola instead. Reality check please. We have still got a lot of potential here at Spurs, but we will not be the first choice of the absolute top end players or managers at this time. In truth I don’t think that without the debacle which befell him at Chelsea we could have gotten AVB when he left Porto. I am however of the opinion that it was a very particular set of circumstances, coupled with a little inexperience in an otherwise talented young manager which did for him at Chelsea. I can see Boas and Spurs being a much better fit.
We are already signing players, and the fact that there have been positive noises from some potential targets about our new manager is further cause for optimism I feel. He does have a sterling reputation on the continent. So lets look forward to welcoming the new, young talent we are about to sign and leave the Van Persies to the likes of City. For now.

With regards to avb…..I’m optimistic as usual. Wary….cautious….a little scared…and excited at the same time. Now about Robin…rvp. The guy that is so important to arsenal it’s not even funny. Well I hope he goes to juventus or barca or real….Milan. Anyone apart from the prem. Unless he wants to join a team going places like spurs. I know it would never happen but imagine how good he would be for us. Anyway I’d settle for damiano and adebayor

Yep i agree. I wouldn’t want RVP at Spurs. I hate fucking gooners, i don’t even want ade. It’s another reason to get rid of rednapp. Arsenal are fucked and they know it. Haven’t won jack in 8 years. AVB had a revolution at chelsea from the old farts. A lot of racism goin on there too. So abramovic used AVB as a scape goat. AVB will do well. Vertonghen, Siggy and Now young Fryers are all decent young signings. Spurs are going in the right direction. We’ll past the arsenal goons and they’ll fade away with no champs league. the way rate the players are getting out of arsenal there must be a big stink in the dressing room.

At least RVP has done the honest and honourable thing by saying he’s not signing a new contract in a years time. That way, Arsenal at least get a fee for him. Imagine a club captain from N London who lied continuously to fans and the club that had raised him about signing a new contract. But then walked away at the last minute to their bitterest rivals on a free in order to pocket the transfer fee for himself as a signing-on fee. What a traitor that would be = and I wonder how GunnerWinNothingAgain fans would react to him when he returned to the Effeminates Stadium?

Guardiola would have been great but he said he wanted a break to recharge after 4 years at Barcelona. Maybe AVB is seen as a good stop gap for a year and we go for Pep next summer!
In the meantime we are, as ever linked with all players who have ever kicked a ball, hopefully one or two will sign to strengthen the team. COYS! -
This is just crap, much as I would love to have RVP at WHL the guy has too much respect for the club and its fans. What sort of low life would do a thing like that?

Kaden, how exactly are Gooners deluded? If you knew what you were talking about, rather than just making childish comments, you’d realise how angry the majority of Arsenal fans are.
