Tottenham Hotspur V. Reading

By: Lucas | March 30th, 2007

Spurs get Reading at White Hart Lane this Sunday, and with every meaningful player but Ledley King back, and playing at home, we’ve got to be looking for three points. Reading totally outclassed us when last we played- more hustle, better passing, a certain joie de vivre… but i digress. If we consistently played with the attitude Reading’s thrown out there, we’d be in the the top four- but we don’t always, so we’ll see.

Defoe played for England recently and Keane sat due to suspension, so I’d guess Berbatov and Keane up top, with Malbranque and Lennon on the wings alongside Zokora and Taino, if he’s healthy, or Huddlestone. Dawson and I suppose Rocha in the middle of the defense, with Lee and Chimbonda on the left and right, respectively. I wouldn’t mind seeing Adel Taarabt get a run, as he seems like the kind of guy (always running/creating/maybe diving) who would play well against our opponents. I will, unfortunately, miss the game, as I have some sort of function to attend (first game I’ve missed in a while… as a tear falls slowly) but I’ll be looking for it like a bastard on tape delay.
