That was pretty good…I guess.

Had you asked me prior to our league clash with North London rivals Arsenal, I probably would have said that a draw would be good, because a point is better than being that much closer to the bottom three. Now I look back at the events that unfolded today, and basically everything that could have gone wrong for Arsene Wenger, did. And in gruesome fashion.
This will definitely be a performance that Arsenal will want to forget, as Spurs were clearly the more dominant side throughout the game. First off, Emmanuel Eboue just seems to like giving his teams supporters a reason to heckle. As he saw his first yellow 17 minutes into the game, only to be followed by his second 20 minutes later after taking Luka Modric’s legs out from under him. Consequently he was sent off and the ARSEnal were down to 10 men. This was the first gift that God seemed to hand us today.

Secondly, Emmanuel Adebayor had what seemed to be a pretty bad hamstring injury after over exerting himself when running for a long ball. Bendtner came on to replace him, which for most Spurs fans was a welcome switch considering Ade’s goal scoring record against us. So you may find yourself asking “Okay so a man down, and now one of their best strikers is out injured. Surely it can’t get any easier?”
Well my dear little friends… It did.
Don’t get me wrong, I would never wish injury on someone, But consequently the leaving of a starting player did give Spurs a better chance. Gael Clichy Left the pitch after a mid-air collision with Darren Bent, Which to me didn’t look nearly as severe on the replay. Still the gash on Clichy’s head was testament to the impact. He left the pitch to be replaced by Kieran Gibbs.
Alright, after all this lengthy description of Arsenals misfortunes I’m still left with the feeling that a Draw was not a fair result. As i said before, had Arsenal come out guns a blazin like last time we met them at the emirates, a draw would have been satisfactory(and it was). But after the Shitty performance they had today at White Hart Lane, I can’t help but feel we were robbed of all 3 points.
Am I alone here? anyone else feel like that?
I mean we were dominant all over the pitch. Palacios was on fire in the holding Midfield position. Modric was passing well. Lennon was causing all sorts of trouble up the right. I just feel like we weren’t given what we deserved.
On a much more critical note, Jenas was really, really mediocre today. As well as our new Skipper Robbie Keane, Who looked like he was riled up and ready to go but seemed to lack in the performance end of things. The substitution of Bent for Pavlyuchenko, in my opinion, was a mistake. Pav seemed to be the only one keeping the ball up in the box(albeit he missed a few easy chances). Bent and Keane are too much alike to me. Also the subbing out of Aaron Lennon for Adel Taraabt had me skeptical at first, but the youngster put in a good effort. Benoit Assou-Ekotto was the one player I felt should have come off instead of Corluka. BAE continues to suck, and in a game like today’s it is vital that you get players who are under performing out of there.
So we come away with a (disap)point(ment), and stay sitting in 15th. Newcastle and Bolton both only ahead of us by 2 points, and Hull(who we face next) are ahead of us by 4. We’ve got 13 games left in the season, and it is very important that we take the most from the possible 39 points.
Pour it all out boys, let me hear your thoughts…

Well, at least a point is better than nothing (especially against arsenal), and I do agree that Palacios played well, but I don’t see how we couldn’t have at least put more good efforts on target… hopefully keane gets more comfortable, and hopefully Jenas becomes decent by the end of the season
We really deserved the win, and if we keep giving up points in winnable matches like today, we really could find ourselves in a battle against relegation

Palacios was MOTM and Modric missed the best opportunity by miles. We should have won, simple as.

Why did Harry play Keane so soon anyway? As Capello would say.. “he doesn’t have Match Fitness” and what DOES Harry have against Giovanni Dos Santos… i love watching him play…. at least we’ve made One good aquisition.. Palacios! Not sure what it’s going to take to make them find the back o’ the net though… & that’s Harry’s job!!! Come on you Spurs!!!
