Spurs Vs Barca RantBox
By: Drew | July 24th, 2009
Hello all, Today we see Tottenham square off against Barcelona in the first leg of the Wembley cup. With reports that all three of our starting CBs out injured it should be interesting to see who Harry throws out today.
Kevin over at the Barca Offside has said that Pep will probably be putting out a lot of B teamers, which isn’t really too surprising. I expect Harry will probably be doing the same (as well as giving some fringe players some time too)
All in all I think it’ll be good to play against the current champions of football as it will give us a reality check after mercilessly beating Exeter, Bournemouth, and Peterborough (it was 4-0 by the way). So let’s have some fun out against Barca and feel free to leave some comments on the game if you get ESPN Deportes, or find Other means to see the game… Justin.tv I’m looking at you.

I’m watching it here in Spain and honestly we’re a joke. Barça’s B side is passing around us like we’re the cones in a training drill. Huddlestone has actually played pretty well at CB and is distributing well but O’Hara is rubbish. We need some creativity and right now we don’t have it.

Not bad, at least we got the draw if anything. Good to see a youngster like Livermore get a goal as well.

definitely agree with you there Anthony, Barca ran this game. The youngsters showed a lot of composure though, but there are definitely some issues that need to be addressed by Harry.

Arsenal fan – Just watched your sucky team get their asses handed to them by Celtic. You guys are so stupidly ambitious, thinking you can land Huntelaar!!! From Real Madrid????? All you spurs fans are idiots, can you say R-E-L-A-G-A-T-I-O-N? You have Bent and Pavela-russian wan*er….you have no idea how to sign good players…you’re best ever player (Sol) came to us because he wanted to win the league and play regularly in Europe. You have no vision, no fresh ideas and no good players … no wait a minute, Jenas is a great player, but couldn’t walk into Everton’s team. Good luck this year with Redknapp, the only thing he can do with a team is steer them from relegation … when’s the last time he stayed a whole season with one team? Are you scared?
