Spurs through to Round of 32

Tottenham Hotspur pulled a 1-1 draw out against Anderlecht after Dimitar Berbatov converted a penalty just minutes after a Michael Dawson gaffe cost Spurs at the other end.

The draw sends Spurs to the knock out stages of the UEFA cup. The round of 32 will begin in February.

On a side note, nice job with the lighters at the end Anderlecht fans… Pure class.

  It’s actually certain we’ll finish in second. If Getafe and Anderlecht draw, Getafe are level with us and they beat us, and if they win of course they’re in front, and same for Anderlecht. Let’s hope for a week Champions League team.

  Thank you for the info Sam. A draw v. a weak CL team would be nice! And to be honest who knows what Spurs will look like in two months time. With all that’s went wrong at least we’re still alive in three cups at the moment… Let’s hope that lasts through December.

  Well haha actually I’m wrong, because goal difference comes before head-to-head result in the UEFA Cup. (Why can’t it be the same as the Champions League?) So in theory if it’s a draw between Getafe and Anderlecht, Spurs would finish first. Fingers crossed.
