Spurs in pre-season
By: Jay | June 24th, 2007Well, hello there fellow searchers of all news Hotspur related. I’m Jay and looking to air a few views on the majestic Lillywhites.
As we all know we are between seasons in the Premier League. It’s terrible. Not least because of the severe lack in chaps running around a pitch hunting for glory, but also because of the immense, and categorically insane, branding around of names in the search for new players. Tottenham, it seems, have tied up a deal for Darren Bent. This is a tough topic for Spurs fans, unsure whether he’s quite up to the task. I, however, will welcome him. Having rejected a rather large pay-packet from Upton Park to join up with Berba and Co., Bent seems to know where the real football seems to be played.
As it is, this is a big season for Tottenham. Can we capitalise on the slide and slide of other side of North London? Just in case you hadn’t heard I think Mr Henry has left the club? What’s that? you know already? Well, I apologise. If we can just get hold of a couple of players at the same level as Ledley King and Dimitar Berbatov there is absolutely no reason why we can’t be playing Champions league next season. It’s just a question of who to sign. The annual chorus of ‘lets sign Ronaldo’ has subsided, and I’d rather not have Christian Vieri picking up a paycheck for a year. One left-sided midfielder please. NB Let’s not try and fashion one out of Lee Young-Pyo.
Who should come in? Who should leave? So many questions. All I know is I have faith in Jol, Commoli and Levy; probably all sitting around in their smoking jackets discussing it as we speak.

I assume he just lost interest… Or was pissed when everyone nicely told him not to be homophobic… It sucks though, it seems all our new Premiership blogs are being abandoned! Villa, Sunderland, Bolton… and Russia too!
