Zokora: Did fuck all, conceded boneheaded foul to give Shakhtar their first goal. Gomes: Did nothing except fake an injury to try and mask his half-assed effort when the first goal came in. Everyone else was ineffective. Except Michael Dawson, who made a handful of game-saving tackles, especially in the first half. Offensively, we almost came close to thinking of creating a half-chance or two. God.

Shakhtar are no joke, especially at home. I doubt Spurs could have done much better even with Lennon, Modric and Pavluchenko out there.

We are the laughing stock of thefootballing world. One of the greatest competitions around and our illustrious manager publicly announces that we do not consider it a competition worthy of our efforts. What the hell did those lads think when they went on to the pitch. If this is the mentality he has no fucking wonder we as a club are in the shit. Sorry but this bullshit about heavy schedules is so pathetic it makes me cry “but we played 90 minutes only three days ago FFS your paying these pansies up to 60,000 per week there are men out there putting in 40 hours of hard graft a week to earn that much in a year. These people are not proffessional football players they are prima donnas. Unless you are prepared to roll your sleeves up, get some pride in your club and put in 101% then fuck off and stop robbing us poor bastards who have to WORK to pay your overinflated and undeserved wages. And as for you Harry you may be a wheeler dealer but if you can not drive the players and motivate them take your retirement fund now and fuck off.

Agreed oz, only Redknapp IMO can be blamed for this defeat. You can’t tell kids like Gunter, Dos Santos, and Parrett who haven’t even been able to crack the squad before that the match doesn’t matter.
Bentley looks very ordinary week in and week out I think we payed about £14m too much for him. You can blame Gomes all you want and of course his attempt at a punch was atrocious but the fact of the matter is that we gave up a stupid set piece right outside the area due to Zokora’s clumsiness and the second goal was fucking abysmal defending by Chimbonda and Huddlestone who basically let the Shakhtar player walk in and get the shot off.
Also what the fuck is wrong with Harry, why does he have Bent sitting on the bench, I’ll never understand what he has against a guy who’s our top scorer, does he really expect Campbell, a five foot tall kid can play up top by himself? Well if he did before he certainly can’t after today’s performance.
Overall we just looked too ordinary and I don’t understand what this bit of business about resting players is, these guys are professional athletes who are paid tens of thousands of Euros to perform week in and week out and can’t even do that? Absolutely pathetic.

The question is, does Harry put out the A team next week or does he throw in the towel on Europe and focus on the league and not getting embarrassed by United in the Carling Cup final?

Yevy, these guys are top class professional athletes, I don’t think there should be any excuses not to play them. Spurs have more than enough quality in the squad to stay up and still haven’t lost to any of the “top four” this year in the league so an embarrassment against United is unlikely. Look at what happened to Chelski last year…

Is someone paying Harry to ‘dump us’? God forbid if we DO go down we won’t be able to make it there either the way we’re playing!!!! WHAT is Harry doing keep on ‘trying’ Gomes? He’d better bench him for Life for pulling that stunt, to at least SHOW he (Harry) is on our side! We sure can’t Sell Gomes, there’s no one out there now dumb enough to buy or want him free!!! I don’t agree with all the ‘returns’ either…. if we Had to we should have taken Defoe OR Keane back… they never Both worked before. I Like Corluka, didn’t need Chimbonda back, also i’m not a fan of Bentley but am starting to feel sorry for him, what has Harry’s team Done to these guy’s psychologically??? In a ‘dream world’ we’d still have Martin Jol and be sitting 5th.
