A ridiculous title for a post? Probably. The best way to celebrate Ledley King’s return? Definitely. The captain, out since Boxing Day, will be returning for our match against Seville at White Heart Lane this Thursday. It has the makings of a storybook event, and I feel I would be remiss in not informing you that I’ve had a huge, quite awkward erection since I head the news.

Aside from the fact that we’ve had to play Pascal Chimbonda at center back in our UEFA Cup games, this is big simply because of how much he’s been missed. Without the air of calm he brings to our back four, we’ve been shaky for months. Dawson has stepped in admirably, but as I’ve said before, Robbie Keane is no captain. Spurs have been missing that crucial extra piece, and I can’t help but imagine how we’ll be able to do with King back.

Obviously, for me this changes everything. I’ve gone from despair at out deficit to cautious optimism, and I can’t help but think that we are a match for Seville now. Onward to Hampden! COYS!
