Ridiculous Ronaldinho Rumors
By: Richard | March 28th, 2008
By answering one little line of questioning, that really only had one answer, Juande Romos has the story hungry media spinning. That being said, I have an idea… Let’s play a little game, I’ll take a published Ramos quote regarding the Brazilian megastar, link it with the probable question that got the response in the first place then give a bit more insight as to what Ramos may have been really trying to say. How does that sound boys and girls? Ready? Begin!
Hey Juande, so what do you think of the possibility of Ronaldinho leaving Barca this summer?
“There are many big clubs that want to sign him. He deserves it (the interest) because he is a great footballer.”
-He’s had an off year but he’s still only 28 and his talent is immense. Who wouldn’t want to take a shot at him. The team that acquires him will sell enough shirts to pay for his salary within a week.
So any chance of there being any interest from a team in London like…. hmmmm, I dunno, maybe….. Tottenham Hotspur?
“Great footballers will find their place in any team and that includes Tottenham. I consider Ronaldinho a great player in every way you can define that description,”
-What kind of a stupid question is that? I think the question this guy should be asking is: Could Ronaldinho have any interest in a mid-table English team with high aspirations who will only be playing in the UEFA Cup next year, not the Champions League, while simultaneously being courted by the massive Euro sides who will be playing in the massive club cup competition….. Idiot, next question!
So Juande, is there anything to these rumors? Are Spurs even interested?
“I’m following what’s being said about him potentially leaving at the end of the season. I guess I’d have to speak directly to the player himself to determine where the truth lies.”
- Is this going to be over soon? I hear the restroom calling.
Do you plan on contacting Barcelona this summer in an attempt to sign Ronadlinho?
“If I speak with them then I will try and sign him. Barcelona possess excellent players and of course some will be of interest to us.”
-They have many, many players who don’t even see the pitch who could start every week for us, so of course I’ll try to pluck a couple players from their squad! And yes, we would love to have Ronaldinho and all of the attention that having him on the squad would bring our team. Are these questions for real?
Juande, how do you get such bounce and shine to your hair? Do you use a deep conditioner? If so, how often?
-End of interview. Ramos storms off to take a leak.

i think its just a little more likely than you are making it out to be… never underestimate the ramolution going on at the lane. chelsea did, and they lost the carling cup like a bunch of idiots. the only thing thats really killing us is the fact that we wont be in the champions league. personally, i think we should go after diego with werder bremen, we would have a much better chance getting him than ronny. and yes, we should go get david villa whether or not berbs stays.
and yes, juande ramos has some very fine helmet hair.

I think it’s possible, yes, but not likely. Diego would be spot on, just what the doctor ordered, PERFECT…. Good call, 5-1.

Just a little bummed the interview was cut short before the last answer. I could use some good hair keeping tips, being that I’m as bald as they come. From a rumore perspective, Ramos did wonderfully at avoiding something easy for the media to relish in. Well done, Juande.
