Ramos bringing exciting times to the Lane
By: Gary | June 9th, 2008
It is safe to say one thing about our boss Juande Ramos. He is certainly bringing us exciting times.
A trophy in the cabinet and three very, very bright prospects already signed on in his first close season with the club.
The Spanish boss has certainly played his cards close to his chest since taking on the Spurs hotseat back in October. But his intentions are crystal clear.
He is here to entertain us. With his football. With his signings. And hoepfully with his results.
Giovani Dos Santos was the latest addition to Juande’s revolution and he has all the hallmarks of becoming a top Premiership player.
Reports suggest his attitude prompted his Nou Camp exit. Maybe so, but that is something which can soon change given the right playing environment and right people around him.
His technical ability on the other hand is something I am sure the Catalans will not be glad to see the back of.
And, if we are to judge Ramos by the positives we have seen of him so far, then it seems to be his style.
Ramos has already brought us a 5-1 win over arch rivals Arsenal, a cup final win over Chelsea and who can forget coming back from the dead against the Blues in the league, which in the end proved decisive in denying them a third Premier League crown.
In Ramos’ very short tenure, we have already been gifted with some invaluable Spurs memories. The kind we will probably go on to tell our children and grandchildren about.
But it seems things could get even better, and even more exciting, judging by the Spaniard’s summer captures so far.
Luka Modric, John Bostock and Dos Santos are all creative midfielders with a bright future in the game. And their bright future will be at White Hart Lane.
Many of us have renewed our season tickets this week and we may all moan about the increase in prices, but I think we could be preparing for a very special branded season. A season with the Ramos brand.

Ya know…The one thing I love doing is hate the Spurs. Being an Arsenal fan, it’s just natural. I have to give it to Ramos though, he is changing the guard at the Lane and it pains me to to see the sputtering of a close season Arsenal are having. Here’s to Spurs not making the top four!

Jesus christ, we (Barca) got totally ripped with Gio. 6 million??? Surely he’s worth at least 12. You guys must have some great negotiators, or better than ours, at least. I really wish we had’ve got Modric too. Ramos is gonna do great things for you guys.

The thing is there is such a clutch of clubs in the prem now chasing the top four I dont think it will be too long before it is broken. Man City have the cash, spurs are splashing out, aston villa are getting very close to a top, top side and everton broke the stranglehold not too long ago while coming close again last term. I think one of the four will drop out next season, probably Arsenal, and Spurs’ signings are hinting they have as good a chance as anybody.
