Pissed Off - And Other Rumblings

By: Richard | December 5th, 2007

dowd.jpgI’m so damn pissed…. It took me three days to even want to write a blog. Phil Dowd, you’re shit. Why on earth would you have to consult a fourth official when it comes to sending someone off? You were standing right there Phil! Get the shit out of your eyes, be a big boy and make the call all on your lonesome. I wanted to slap the back of his head soon as I saw red….

Anyway, I’m sickened. It was just another in a long line of surreal games this term. How the hell could this keep happening? BAM! Keane sent off. BAM! Bale reinjured his foot. BAM! From 3 points to 1 Point to NO POINTS! ARRGHHH!!!
On the bright side:
Ledley Kind played 45 minutes for our reserves during the 0-1 defeat at Craven Cottage. Richardo Rocha also played the first half. Lets hope Spurs can get healthy. Ramos can only do so much to cover all the injuries at center-half, it’s starting to get silly at this point.

Other opinions:

-I’m already hearing rumblings that Younes Kaboul could be loaned out soon. I’m not sure what to think of this. 8 million and he’s out on loan after 4 months? What a nice bit of business that is. I have some advice to Spurs, next time they get the itch to sign some young player just give me the money and in turn I’ll give you half back. It would have about the same net effect. Kaboul was also left off of Spurs squad for tomorrows game v. Anderlecht. Nice. Ramos confused matters though with this statement: “I don’t know why I would send Kaboul out on loan. He is our player and we are very satisfied and happy he is with us.” Time will tell.

-Marin Jol, we still love you mate, but shut the hell up, honestly. “Call me arrogant, but I didn’t think the club would find anyone better than me. Not even someone like Jose Mourinho could have done better than me at this club under the circumstances.” Oh God help us! Please stop talking to people about what a great job you did. Spurs fans appreciate all you did at the Lane and everyone knows the board did a crap job and undermined you, but no one cares to hear how you did better then anyone else could have. You’re just blowing yourself Martin.

-Can we sell Defoe already? I know it’s not January yet but it seems like every time he’s out on the pitch he becomes little more then a wasted body out there. Sunday was no exception.

-Massive game tomorrow in Belgium v. Anderlecht. A draw will send Spurs through to the knockout stage. COYS!

Keane should have at least been given the chance to have a personal hearing for this one. The tackle wasn’t brilliant and did look worse on first showing so I can see why the ref sent him off but he at least deserved the chance to appeal in person.

It was just so disappointing. Anyone who has watched Robbie Keane play knows he’s in no way malicious. the way the rest of the game played out just ended up adding insult to injury.
