Our Finishing Issues

I’m going to keep this short. If we are to be a top-4 team, we have to- HAVE TO- put the biscuit, as it were, in the basket. Jermain Defoe can’t put an open 15 yarder into the stands against Seville, against Chelsea, against the scum. There is such a thing as a bad win, and that’s what we need to improve on.

  We’re not a top-4 team yet. We will be. As for Jermain, I don’t blame him for missing. We’re lucky to still have him. He should be getting regular starts. He scored a perfectly legal goal that was ruled out and looked lively when he came on. We all know the talent he has and the talent the whole team has. On another day we would’ve scored 9. It wasn’t to be. We still played entertaining football, got the 3 points and a clean sheet. Thats all that matters.
