Nice’s Lloris talks up Spurs move
By: Gary | May 28th, 2008
It was only two days ago that I earmarked Espanyol’s Carlos Kameni as the ideal candidate to fill the goalkeeping void at the club.
But, things may have changed.
There have been many top-quality possible suitors being linked with a move to Spurs in the press and it appears we have another candidate to consider, in Nice’s Hugo Lloris.
The promising young custodian seems to be talking his own way through the entrance to White Hart Lane, praising both club and manager.
He has said Spurs have a bright future and admits to being a fan of our Spanish head coach.
It just goes to show what a fine reputation our boss Juande Ramos really has all over Europe.
With AC Milan and Lyon both chasing the 21-year-old’s signature, it is Tottenham the Frenchmen has taken a particular shine to. It is another sign of the potential of our club and by the kind of players we are attracting, it seems the only way is up.
In Lloris, it seems Spurs may have just found the best candidate of the bunch to succeed the departed Radek Cerny and to compete with current number one Paul Robinson.
Lloris is touted as the finest of a young generation of future world class goalkeepers currently coming out of France.
His comments have certainly opened the doors for talks and you can be nothing but impressed by the glowing reports this young stopper is receiving.
If he is willing to spend his reported very bright future with us, then I think it is time to get the deal moving…

If we can get Lloris, that would FUCKING MASSIVE. he’s really really good, young, blah blah blah. Like I always say, Ligue 1 is the place to get keepers. Man, I’m stoked for this.
