Jenas, Where Did all This Come From? Spurs Roll 4-0
By: Richard | August 20th, 2007
Jermaine Jenas, why do you do this to us? I just can’t figure you out, man. I have no clue what it is you do with your spare time, choosing to ignore any odd rumors of how you use the vibration ring feature on your cel phone and focus purely on footballing. 90% of the time I find myself yelling out “Jenas, you wanker!!” after one of your horrible passes are taken yet again by an opposing defender. The other 10%? Well, I guess those would be asking myself “Jenas, where the hell did all this come from?” like I found myself doing during Saturdays game v. Derby. Your passes were crisp, free kicks were decent, corner kicks looked as if they could have been a threat, and that spectacular goal you scored after a long run made me think you were trying to do your best Lionel Messi impersonation while playing against a team of school children. Anyway, thanks for the effort Jermaine. We were beginning to think you didn’t have it in you!
Okay, now that I have that out of the way my player of the game is Tom Huddlestone… sorry JJ. Big Tom held up play well allowing far more fluid possessions then we saw out of Spurs in the first two games with Zokora and Jenas running themselves, and our possessions, right into the ground. Spurs looked good Saturday and the only complaint I can give is that we didn’t score 5 or 6. COYS!!!

Woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Not the prettiest of goals, but it’ll do. Now we just gotta get Berbatov awake, he’s wasting my fantasy league money here.

Richard, I agree whole-heartedly! Jenas can have you scratching your head one minute and then dancing around the next. Let’s just hope he gets cocky and confident and starts to control the center like Jol believes he can.
