Mido- He’s fucking terrible. Really. Or at least, he’s terrible at what he’s supposed to do- it’s hard to come in as a substitute when you’re still drunk from last night. Also, he looks unclean. Unrelated to football, but come on. He just admitted to being tapped up by PSV coach Ronald Koeman, so maybe that’ll work out for him.
Hossam Ghali- I don’t have an anti-Egyptian bias, I just don’t see how there’s a place for him in the side. We have two more capable defensive midfielders, we have better options on the right and left, and unless “getting kicked in the face really, really goddam hard” becomes a position, he’s got to go.
Anthony Gardner- Not very good, not very good at all. Something of a victim of his own size- you can’t be as physical as he is when you learned how to play football in a traveling band of giants. Maybe Gardner and seven million for Curtis Davies? We’ll see.
Lee Young-Pyo/Benoit Assou-Ekotto- Just a disaster at left back. Assou-Ekotto is straight mediocre, and Lee is an attacking fullback who can’t attack because, wait for it, HE’S NOT FUCKING LEFT FOOTED. Come on. Bring on Gareth Bale.

Leave it out. Ghaly is not a sensational player by any means but when he’s played he has done well in our last few games, most of which have been victories. He battles and has scored goals. Assou-Ekotto should be given time to adapt, he is young and this is his first season. Mido, yeah, he’s been shit but he is capable, he just won’t get the chance to show it due to Berbatov being ahead of him. Gardner needs to try to stay awake for 15 minutes, never mind 90.
