Game Recap- Tottenham Hotspur 1-2 Chelsea

By: Lucas | March 19th, 2007

Well, that, ah, that sucked. I kicked a big hole in my wall, for what it’s worth. Petulant, like Drogba. This is Spurs’ first loss since I’ve begun writing here, their first loss in a while, and it hurts. It hurts to lose when you are clearly the better side, it hurts to lose when you created half again as many chances as the team you’re playing, it, of course, hurts to lose in a game like this.

A chance at guaranteed European competition- not through the FA Cup, I guess. We need to continue on, finish sixth, or fifth, or fourth (fourth? maybe, maybe, maybe.) I want so much to talk about how we should have won at Stamford Bridge, how we could have done better, but in the end maybe we didn’t deserve to win. Maybe if we can’t finish off chances, if we can’t defend better against the counter-attack, we don’t have it. And then, of course, I remember that we DO have it. We fucking do.

This sucks.

Sorry m8 but your being a twat to think we can get 4th spot…dreamer!!
And back to reality….The lads looked tired out there and there wasn`t the intensity we have seen in recent games, Bringing Steed in for Ghaly was a mistake as was the lennon on the left experiment..should have continue to play in the free role behind the strikers…That said we have gone out of two domestic cup to teams in the top 4, no shame in that as it isn`t that long ago we were getting knocked out by minnows.

The break will give the lads some well earned rest for the assult to come on the UEFA Cup and to consolidate our position as the best of the rest in the Prem…

Real shitty, yeah, (argh, we were 3-1 up….) but whatever, yeah i don’t think we’ll be getting fourth, but fifth is definitely there for the taking.
