Game Recap- Braga 2-3 Tottenham Hotspur
By: Lucas | March 8th, 2007That was a game. Despite dominating for the better part of the first half, and most of the second, Spurs nearly cock it all up.
Stars
Aaron Lennon- Tireless running and trickery caused constant problems for the Braga defense, and his assist on Keane’s first goal was at least what he deserved out of it.
Dimitar Berbatov- Could have had two, maybe three goals but for solid goalkeeping and one slightly poorly taken chance.
Didier Zokora/Teemu Taino- The central midfield pairing worked perfectly, with Taino wining balls all over the place and Zokora making numerous runs up the center of the field. Zokora seems to be finally rounding into form.
Robbie Keane- Two superb finishes, two goals. What more can I say.

Anthony Gardner- Really? You get called for the same foul twice, and then decide to do it again, this time in the penalty box? Smooth, jackass.
All in all, a solid performance from Spurs, though it could and perhaps should have been better. A soft penalty and weak defending on a corner kick let two goals in, but with three away goals you have to think there’s every chance of moving on into the quarter finals. Well done and COYS!

Yeah, in a game like that even the live UEFA text can offer suspense… I got back from school and we were 2-0 up… I felt like doing something rash to myself when Braga leveled… Hahah but wouldn’t you know it Keane saved the day. Braga don’t stand a CHANCE at White Hart Lane!
