Bale Bale Bale Bale Bale Argh!

Gareth-Bale-Tottenham-vs-LA-Galaxy_2811223It is a weird situation, but I am in serious danger of becoming completely sick of the sight of our best player, and certainly the sight of his name in print.

It is unfair on the lad of course. Apart from the heart celebration which I’ve found annoying since the first time he did it, and the fact that I’ve seen more of his tongue than I care to see of any man’s; he has done nothing wrong.

In fact, truth be told all goal celebrations which have clearly had too much thought put into them irritate me. Give me Alan Shearer’s legendarily boring running along with one arm in the air celebration any day. But I digress.

The amount of Gareth Bale tripe doing the rounds in the news feeds now is reaching saturation point. Is he better than Ronaldo? Is he better than Messi? Is he better than Walcott? Will he go to Real Madrid? Will he go to Bayern Munich? Will he go to PSG? Blah blah blah. Every welshman from Robbie Savage to Tom Jones’ ex-wife’s hairdresser has given their opinion on whether Bale should stay or go, like it has anything at all to do with them.

I have written one article on the subject; my two cents about our ‘one man team’ credentials. Isn’t that enough? Aren’t writers looking at the news feeds before they write an article asking the exact same question fifty other people have asked in the last week? The irony of this article’s subject matter is not lost on me, but I have to say that if I read one more headline asking ‘Is Gareth Bale Really World Class?’ I’m gonna scream.

I would just like to be able to read something else about the team. Aren’t there meant to be journalists out there with inside information? I want to know what key people think about Adebayor’s recent shenanigans and continued poor form. I want to know what role Holtby sees himself having in the team, and where he is likely to be utilised long term (I saw a Holtby story the other day-his opinion of Gareth Bale). I want to know what is happening with Kaboul, is he nearing a start? How is Sigurdsson taking the fact that his Spurs career seems to be dying on it’s arse in it’s first season? The way people are acting you would think that we were literally a one man team.

So, for the last time I will say what I think and move on. Better than Ronaldo? No. Better than Messi? No. Better than Walcott? Yes; they are statistically similar but Bale dominates games and is better box office. Will he be as good as Ronaldo? I don’t know, and neither does anyone else. Should he leave Spurs? Not yet. Is he world class? This season, yes. Will he leave in the summer? If we get Champions League football, no. If we don’t, yes. Will he go to Bayern or PSG when he does leave? No. Will he go to Real Madrid? Probably. Are we a one man team, and does that matter anyway? I’ve answered that one already.

OK then, that’s my opinion on everything; right or wrong. If you want to give your opinion for the umpteenth time, go ahead.

Now somebody tell me something else interesting, anything other than all this…Baleshit!

As an edit, I’ve just published this article and looked at News Now to see the headline ‘Kaboul Close To Tottenham Return’. Oh fickle fate, why do you mock me?

i know where your coming from, i love the lad but its getting annoying all this bale stuff but the only reason any of this is happening is because nobody else is bloody well scoring or even looks like scoring, we need a new stricker asap

Haha. Good point, I guess the Gareth stories are just filling the vacuum. It’s just the repetitiveness of the articles, asking the same question again and again.

It isn’t Gareth printing the endless articles. I am sure he finds it all quite daft. He is a professional and is concentrating on his game and that alone, as should we all.

It’s symptomatic of the Internet, particularly in relation to football, that 99.9% of content is recirculated, reconstituted, regurgitated shite!

Bale is becoming a star slowly. He is progressing with the team around him.
Let’s get a stricker and we will win the league no problem.
But for now keep scoring Bale!!!
And by the way… Let’s give our coach some credit for our defence improving the way they are. Do you all forget how many goals we let in during the closing periods of games..
Go Spurs !!!! AVB your Awesome !!!!

I am getting fed up with the question “whatwould the table look like without Bale”. who the hell cares? If he handt been there spurs would have set up differently and still been in 4th spot…who knows if Bale had not been at Spurs we would have had to purchace a couple of hot strikers…so we could have been higher up the table. As it is Bale is at Spurs and for better or worse he will be here to the end of the season at the very least….without him? life will go on Spurs will still be a force and probabley, quietly, finish higher in the table..
