A quick transfer update…

Nothing terribly interesting to report BUT, Stewart Downing has officially burned all bridges at ‘Boro after handing in a written transfer request… Only fueling the idea that he will be joining Spurs shortly. Middlesbrough has officially rejected his request but after publicly stating that he no longer wants to play for the club he grew up in, you can guess that he won’t be able to show his face on their pitch anymore.
Speculation continues about Jermain Defoe’s move to The Lane but nothing has been made official. The only news on that front would be him stating that he only wants to work with Harry. The only other thing that’s been floating around has been that Juventus maybe want him, Which i find a little strange but anything can happen.
And Finally Reports have been leaked that 28 year old Ghana international Stephen Appiah has been training with Spurs as of late and it would seem that Harry is keen to sign the Mid-fielder. Stephen has spent most of his career playing in Italy for Udinese, Parma, and Juventus. The last club he was employed at was Fenerbache before ending his contract with them in 2008. He is currently a free agent and is apparently looking to join our side.
