Tevez deals Spurs a Shot to the Nuts
By: Richard | February 6th, 2008
OUCH!!! This is getting f’n silly! I mean, at least it was United that were stealing points from us in stoppage time and not Sunderland or Birmingham but finishing a game like we did hurts like a son of a bitch regardless of the opposition!
Even writing about it hurts me. United really were shut down for the vast majority of the game and, with the exception of some solid possession here and there that netted no real opportunities for the Devils, it was Spurs who controlled the match and deserved full points and the accolades that come with beating the two top clubs in the span of a couple weeks. Hutton gets solid marks for his debut as does Woodgate for his continued classy play for Spurs. Chimbonda and Dawson both rose to the occasion as well, creating a stifling back line that even the mighty Manchester United had trouble cracking.
With seven yellow cards total United must have had referee Mark Clattenburg on their payroll. In the second half there was a concerted effort by the defending champs to get as physical as possible with Spurs. After 5 or so bookings Clattenburg really should have shown a red card to someone in order to restore some semblance of order. Typical bullshit really. Top clubs get an endless number of chances and last Saturday we saw it in action. Clattenburg allowed Man United to beat Spurs to a pulp, choosing to have friendly conversations with the United players rather then showing them a red card, then allowing them to set up for a late equalizer in order for the Premiership’s crown jewel to save face. Typical.
Just another shot to the nuts for Spurs fans. Yet there’s so much optimism and positive change right now that it’s hard not to look forward and be excited. Derby this weekend should provide Spurs with a chance to grab some much needed points on the road. Anything similar to the 4-0 result at the Lane from a few months ago will surely put a smile on my face. COYS!

Clattenburg also forgot that a keeper can’t pick up a back-pass.
It was an own goal by Dawson, which was the only downside to his otherwise brilliant game

Richard, dude, get a life. Pathetic article. Tell me, did you cry when Tevez scored? Really, did you cry? What a wanker…

Johnny, They claimed it was an own goal early but to my knowledge it was credited to Tevez?
Steve, Yes, In fact I did cry! I’ve been needing to talk to someone about it Steve, and since you seem so interested yes, it’s really ruined my entire life. I’ve been sexually ineffective ever since and my wife is going to leave me. Also, my depression has followed me to work where I am at risk of being fired. It’s really sad. But then again, now that I’m about to be unemployed and on the precipice of being left by the love of my life I can hang around with you all day Steve. Lord knows you must be the master of unemployed limp dicks…. Tosser.

Yeah it sucks. At least now my buddy who’s an Arsenal fan won’t give me shit, because we helped them out so much. Fuck!

I was thinking about that during the game Sam. I was so pumped to think we were going to beat Utd but at the same time I couldn’t help but think about how we were helping the scum. Oh well.
